St. Paul, Minn., July 26, 2002 – The title track from Wayne Hamilton’s debut release, Lucky That Way, was selected by TAXI as a finalist in UNISONG’s 2001 International Song Contest. Hamilton’s song received an “Entry of Merit” citation for being among the top ten percent of entries from musicians in 40 countries.

UNISONG, based in Hollywood, Calif., has just completed deliberations for its 2001 songwriting contest, which was won by Greg Tannen of New York. Its contests have been running for five consecutive years. UNISONG’s co-founder, Alan Roy Scott, sent a letter to Hamilton that accompanied the organization’s Certificate of Merit. Scott wrote: “There’s great songwriting talent around the world to be discovered and nurtured. You are definitely part of that pool.”
