My SONY Trinitron CRT TV shows BLUISH- PURPLEish tinge constantly. Why?
I have a 21 inch CRT Sony Trinitron TV about 12 years old. Over a few months or so the screen has become BLUEISH in tinge and all colors are not differentiable. Skin color is light blue/purple kind of thing. The problem was intermittent in the beginning of over a year or so and now it is become permanent. The natural colour doesn't seem to come at all. Earlier it used to come and go. The screen sharpness is quite nice and very clear. Only something is wrong with the color.
My query is :
1) Where can be the problem?
2) Which section in the TV could be the culprit.?
3) How to identify the problem and solve it?
I can try my hands at trouble shooting but I need expert advice. Thanks for the same."
Since it's 12 year old tv I would assume the picture tube is going bad. I'd start looking for a replacement.
