HD Projectors from ebay?
Hey
So recently i've been looking for a projector to go with my xbox and laptop but i can't afford the more expensive ones .. so am going with ebay ... but their prices seem to be soo good to be true ...
Like I can get an HD projector with HDMI input and a bulb that lasts for 6000 hours for $300 and free shipping..... And the funny thing is , when the bulb dies it will only cost $29 to replace it by a new one !!!
So before I buy this, i neeed to know what am dealing with here, is this for real ??

These are NOT high definition projectors. They only accept an HD signal, then downconvert it to the native resolution of the projector, which is VGA (640x480) for the first link, The second doesn't even state native resolution, but it's probably also VGA.
True HD (1920x1080) is almost seven times VGA resolution.
Sure the bulb is cheap, but the projector will be very dim, requiring a small image and completely dark room. Even then it will look terrible, dim, fuzzy and grainy.
In short, these projectors are junk. Instead get a used Epson, Optoma, InFocus, Dell or other reputable brand, with at least XGA (1024x768) resolution. It will be much brighter, have better optics, and far better resolution.
