how would i get my lamp in my lcd tv/monitor changed?
i have a magnavox 19 inch lcd hdtv/monitor. its about a year and a half old an i take very good care of it. theres these faint lines running down it like waves its only noticible up close but i asked about it and people said it is the lamps in the lcd that need to be replaced. i dont think i have any proof of purchase like a box or receipt or anything i threw them away so im not sure about a warranty or anything, plus theres nothing wrong with it since lamps tend to need changing in lcd's so where do i go to get it changed? i looked up the model on the magnavox site but the only spare parts they have are the remote, and this certain cable. could i go anywhere else and what would it cost on average? and for experienced people, do you think its even the lights or something else?
so what causes the faint lines? or maybe thats just how it is up close? which wouldnt make sense since this can also be used as a monitor and also isnt one of those cheap brands.
pc lcd monitors have "backlights" installed to light up the screen. If it fails, your screen will be very dark. But if you look closely at the screen you could see the image faintly. Bad backlights will not cause faint lines, it will be dark.
