Which projector is best for me?
I'm just about to move into a new place and decided that my first purchase is going to be a projector so I can play my video games and watch movies on it. I want a 1080p projector that is around $3,000 dollars or less. I have three here that I'm looking at and I'm open to any other product suggestions. So, what machine would best suite me for playing video games and watching movies? (Meaning I don't want any lag on the screen) the three I'm looking at are these two http://www.projectorcentral.com/epson_6500ub_panasonic_ae3000.htm

The Epson 6500 would be my choice, but there is no easy answer since there are many factors to consider to be sure your preferences are best met.
For example, do you have a dark room, or will there be ambient light? What size room? Do you want to be able to rear wall mount or will you use a ceiling mount? How important are various factors such as sharpness, colour accuracy, extra inputs, fan noise, posibiulity of rainbow effect, ability to sit close to the screen without screen door effect, etc.
In general LCD projectors are free of rainbow effect, while single DLP projectors (due to the spinning color wheel) can exhibit it. But DLP will probably have faster screen response. DLP is (often) less flexible re lens offset and zoom range. See the type of tradeoffs?
I suggest carefully reading about these various issues at projectorcentral.com and projectorreviews.com, then consider the comparative reviews at both sites ... particularly the latest 1080p comparison report at the link.
